Split trip expenses before everyone heads home
A trip falls apart in the notes: who paid the cab, who booked the stay, who covered dinner. Screenshots pile up. Someone always feels they paid more.
Make a trip group in NestSplit before you leave — or on the train. Log spends as they happen. When the trip ends, you see who owes whom and settle on UPI instead of carrying IOUs into next month.
What to log on a trip
Anything one person paid for the group belongs in the trip room. Personal shopping can stay in personal expenses so it does not inflate the group total.
- Cabs, trains, and fuel
- Hotels, homestays, and Airbnb
- Group meals and groceries
- Tickets and activities you all did
Split only among people who were there
Not every expense includes the whole group. If three people took a cab and two stayed back, split that cab among three. Custom amounts cover uneven rooms or someone who only joined for a day.
Close the trip cleanly
After the last settlement, archive the group so it is not mixed with your flat bills. The history stays if you need to check a number later.
