Split office lunch and hangout bills without the group-chat math

Someone pays Swiggy or the restaurant QR. Then the chat fills with “how much each?” and half the team forgets by Friday.

Put those spends in a NestSplit group — office pod, friends circle, or weekend crew. Log the meal once, split equally or by who ordered what, and settle on UPI when it is convenient.

What to track

Any shared meal or outing where one person paid for several people. Leave personal coffee or solo orders in personal expenses so they do not hit the group total.

  • Team lunch and birthday treats you want to split
  • Office chai / snacks runs paid by one person
  • Weekend hangouts and movie snacks
  • Cab shares to and from the venue

Uneven orders are fine

Equal split works when everyone ordered roughly the same. For big gaps, use custom amounts or percentages so the person who only had chai is not paying for biryani. NestSplit checks that shares add up before you save.

Keep work and flat money separate

Use a different group for office lunches than your PG rent group. That way a Friday pizza does not show up next to electricity when you open Balances.
